I have this over sized wall clock that I bought really cheap years ago and have never had just the right place to put it up.

My problem is, it has now followed me through 3 homes and is still not up on the wall.

I had every intention of putting it up here at the new house and it again just didn't make the cut.

I am worried I am keeping it because I love the style of it but it really is not my style.

Similarly I love so many of the white home styles around currently but its not a style I would implement in my home. I get a lot of inspiration from this look and help clients follow these styles.

So am I keeping this clock just because I can't bear to part with something from a style I love, even though I will never be able to implement it in the mix I currently have.

What would you do.

I have quickly reviewed my walls and much to my hubby's dismay I think I have found a spot for the clock....fingers crossed it works.....

My last ditch effort before it goes to a new home.

MY BOYS BEDROOM

So we have finally finished the little cherubs bedroom.

and I have to say it has turned out quite close to what I had hoped for.

As he is 2.5 we wanted to transition him out of baby but not to grown up yet, but with the capabilities of adding some young man bits and pieces in the future. Because of this restriction I have placed on us we didn't do any specific themes or contemporary feels just a simply stated boys bedroom.

My inspiration came from here with colours and ideas.....

I have to mention why its close but not quite there.

I had envisaged new bedroom furniture with a desk and side table but we decided as his bed was actually his cot (2 in 1) that until we decide for sure if there will be any more babies he is quite happy in this bed and there is no need to change until that decision is made.

So this is the final outcome.

PHOTO FEATURE

I have decided my stairwell is the perfect area for my family and wedding pics and I have culled the amount and who gets the special spot.

There is much debate about how to and where to hang your family or wedding photos.

There is no doubt these images are special and are usually quite and investment.

....but creating the right mix the, right amount and the right layout are very important.

When I was 1st married my wedding pics took centre stage in my home, which is only fair.

As I got older my style didn't include my wedding photos as I only had so many "guest viewed" walls and I wanted to show my style more and me kissing my husband less.

Not that theres anything wrong with that.

I am still Not sure about personal pics in the dining room but it all depends on the selection and placement

Then your children come along and its time to get creative with showing them off.

Again when my son 1st cam along I got the biggest pic I could find and I spent a fortune so I wanted everyone to see it...

Now what happens if I have another baby...do I have to get the same size will they feel less important if their pic is smaller.....oh the questions...Looks like I am in for another small fortune when that bub comes along....and no that is not anytime soon, so family can stop being excited.

WALL ART

More decisions, this time which wall art where and does it all suit this house or should I be on the lookout for new ones........

I have the double bass to find a home for and my ladder magazine rack, all these things need homes in the new house and there is more aswell.......I think I have too many things for my walls........

Our large painting is it outdated? maybe but there is something about it I love and can't part with.

Then there are the 2 ebony statues above the armchair and one very large baby pic of DS and 1 of our wedding pics to the right.

I don't generally agree with personal photos in the living areas but we paid too much money for them to not show them off to the world.

A selection of family and friends I think will go in the stairwell

My beloved over sized glas clock, this needs the perfect home.

This one is metal and quite possibly a great peice for outside I am thinking.
