MY BOYS BEDROOM

So we have finally finished the little cherubs bedroom.
and I have to say it has turned out quite close to what I had hoped for.

As he is 2.5 we wanted to transition him out of baby but not to grown up yet, but with the capabilities of adding some young man bits and pieces in the future. Because of this restriction I have placed on us we didn't do any specific themes or contemporary feels just a simply stated boys bedroom.

My inspiration came from here with colours and ideas.....
this was the room before any furniture or decor
I have to mention why its close but not quite there.
I had envisaged new bedroom furniture with a desk and side table but we decided as his bed was actually his cot (2 in 1) that until we decide for sure if there will be any more babies he is quite happy in this bed and there is no need to change until that decision is made.
So this is the final outcome.

My little room...Stage 1....

So I have spent today as the part of stage 1 of the ideas room, just putting things away and finding creative ways of storing certain things....essentials.
I will slowly over time re organise again and subtract from what is currently important to access...I can see the attic above the garage will start filling up with boxes, but you know I can't live with the unnecessary...
I started here..

How do I keep the little guy entertained...with the cheapest toy I have ever bought..

There are some things kept, that really don't have a space in your day to day life but you just can't bring yourself to live without them. They are the things I currently stored in many cupboards across my home and mostly in my office...This new little room (which I am very proud of) has made me reassess what seems important.......currently.Where do you store your photo albums, many computer discs, rolls of contact, printing paper...oh I could keep going but you will get bored.

Where did I hide my pens...behind the little sample of discontinued wallpaper.

Hubby gets some visual inspiration also...Just not in the middle of the room like he 1st suggested.

A little room with a lot of pride.

This room was deemed and unhabitable room as far as the council was concerned......Insert roll eyes here.....
So on the plans we had to call it a pantry... and it would have been the greatest upstairs pantry ever. But we had other plans for this space and I can I tell you it is neearly finished no, no handles as yet and nothing in there but soon it will be a little room with a lot of pride.
We wanted to have a designated study area but this little house need more space dedicated to other rooms so we decided a great plan was needed and of course great visionary design....cue the decorator...ooh thats me....
Here is the progress so far
Hubby and I each have laptops so 1 side each and I am thinking a little ottoman cube for our chairs.
He is determined to put his model motorbikes and hotrods on "my" display shelf....I had made the overheads low enough for them to go up there....hhmmm I wounder who is going to win this one.
