BATHING IN BEAUTY

I am currently looking at bathrooms and trying to find something with a little bit of bling but still subtle and stylish.....I think now that the bathroom is also considered a room and we do like to feel relaxed and comfortable in this new room. I have decided to look at ways of making a feature without going "over the top" and without adding a 3 seat sofa and a library....I am thinking a some decorative lighting and tiling will do the job perfectly.....

I have just had my new heating installed and I am finally warm. We have just finished another day in our long cold snap and I am hoping this post finds you all keeping warm and cosy.

I am rearching the best fireplace to consider for some new clients and having found so many ideas to choose from I thought I would share some of my faves....

Keep warm and cosy.

Inserts are Versatile and Stylish and can be used to create ambiance in any given space.

A mantle around your fireplace will take the space from being, not just for warmth but for adding your style to. 

An outdoor fireplace will help you utilise your outdoor area for longer in the evenings and also keep bugs away on those balmy evenings...and not to mention it will add value to your home.

Nothing like a natural stone fireplace surround to add a rustic touch and a feeling of nature inside.

A tiled fireplace surround will also add a certain style to your dedicated space.

There are so many options, which one do you like for your home.

FINAL TOUCHES

This is the lounge area in my new home and as you can see we have got bifold doors with our Alfresco area directly off this room also.

You can see the Tv is mounted (bolted) into the wall and its also on a hinged arm that swings out so we can view it from this Alfresco area..we thought we were so clever with this idea....

and if you try really hard you can see the tv from the pool which sits just outside the Alfresco...for all those must see sports weekends.

I needed to add a few of my little touches...

Above is the start of the room with my existing 2 cushions on my new sofa.

My coffee table slides open and inside I have all of my decorating  and design magazines

1. I am still madly in love with my husband after 11 years together. I keep him on his toes by telling him he's a great 1st husband.;)

2. I have 1 x 2 year old son who is an old sole and is already wise enough to teach me a thing or 2.

3. I am a gypsey in spirit. My husband and I have lived in 11 homes, see number 1. I have lived in over 30 homes in my life time.

4. I am an only child...but not spoilt...although occasionally a princess. But aren't we all.

5. I am not older than 35.

6. I have a 8 year old Boxer Dog...she is beautiful.

7. I love mexican food.

I am not sure how comfortable these people are with awards as everyone is different but they all have great blogs to check out regardless.

THE 5TH WALL

The ceiling is a surface of a room that receives the least amount of light from the outside (even if it has small windows) and generally gets treated to white paint. This also makes the ceilings appear high and the room feel bright. But this should not always be taken literally and can be varied with a variety of colors and textures, just like on the walls. With a dark ceiling and light walls you will create the opposite effect described above, and “lower the ceiling” or simply add warmth to a very cool room.
But as you will see below its all about making it work for you in your home.
Sometimes rules are meant to be broken.
