My travels

Over the past three weeks I have been traveling through Asia. It has been a great opportunity to visit some of the factories and manufacturers that produce many of the interesting pieces we import for our showroom, as well as work more closely on the design process involved . Over the weeks and months ahead I am really looking forward to seeing the end result of all our work.
During my time away it was also fun to be part of the Lunar New Year celebrations but what was a stand out as always was some of the most stunning floral displays and flowers available. The photos below are from the flower markets near my hotel, if only I could have brought some home.........

Garden Scents

Relaxing in the garden is always special, but this time of the year the tropical scents only enhance this experience even more. It just proves all the weeding, mulching and hard work is worth the effort in the end.

My garden

Anyone that knows me knows how much I love time in my garden. This is one of my favourite spots, very restful and quiet..... though I can see some weeds needing attention.

Sunday in the garden

After spending all Sunday in the garden there is nothing more satisfying than sitting back and relaxing with a glass of wine and appreciating the results of all the hard work. I love the gardens designed by Paul Bangay and this image from one of his books is not only beautiful for its simplicity but also a wonderful inspiration.

Parterre Garden

Ok so I'm on a bit of a garden thing at the moment................ There are just so many beautiful parterres every where I go. The colours are full of energy which I love and the little fountains are very refreshing. Maybe I should open a garden shop next......

A walk in the park

There is nothing like a beautiful park and an afternoon spent strolling under shady trees, throw in some unusal clipped hedges and trees, bubbling fountains and stone benches for resting and time just disappears...........

Hanging Gardens

I just love these beautiful balconies and window boxes. The owners have not only created their own little piece of paradise but given the streets below character and much enjoyment to the many passers by.

I took so many photos it was hard to pick my favourites but these are some of the best, I can not wait to get into the garden when I get home.
