Holiday apartment renovation

After working on this apartment for the past couple of months all work has finally been completed in time for our clients holiday break.

Over this time we have designed and installed a new kitchen, updated bathrooms with new vanities and hardware and completly repainted and recarpeted as well as installing shutters to finish the transformation.

As this is a holiday home furnishings have been kept simple and timeless to allow the family to relax and children to enjoy the space.

We have had so much fun creating a new home with results that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

Window display

This amazing handmade mirror mosaic chest of drawers just arrived today. It's a bit over the top but our window display is very dramatic all in silver.

Sunday evening

It is Sunday evening and I am preparing for the final few days before Christmas and then a well deserved rest.

This bedroom setting by Bianca Lorenne looks so inviting, all pieces are available through Aria Home Interiors.

The guest room

Its that time of the year when guests are arriving. There is nothing more welcoming than a beautifully detailed bed, cool cotton sheets, feather pillows and plenty of cushions to add to the indulgent experience.

Installation Day

Every project we do is different. Some involve months of planning, others come together very quickly but always with the most beautiful results.

These images are the first from a new home that furniture was delivered to today. When the owners approached us only a week ago, the challenge was to create a weekend escape in time for the holiday season.

With a neutral but contemporary background in one of Main Beach's premier buildings it was easy to place natural antique pieces along side the many classic and unique items that we love to combine.

When work returns to normal in the new year I will post some more images as the finishing touches are added throughout the home.

Its such a busy time of the year I'm sorry for the lack of posts.

New window display

I thought I would post this image of our new window display at our Brickwork's store. We have spent all Sunday re merchandising both stores creating new looks and restocking shelves.

In between all the madness of the Christmas season we just managed to install this fabulous Ralph Lauren wallpaper to the back wall of our show room. The effect is dramatic.

Rush Rush Rush.....

As it gets to the pointy end of the year the pressure really is on to finish the projects currently underway in time for Christmas celebrations.

One of the jobs I am currently completing is a renovation of a Main Beach apartment, today was a big step forward with the kitchen installation beginning to take shape along with shutters fitted to all the windows, painting and new floor coverings are now also completed. I am really looking forward to to the arrival of shiny new appliances along with the stone bench tops being installed. Beautiful furniture pieces though out will complete this relaxed look in time for the holiday season.

As fast as many of our new pieces arrive they seem to leave just as quickly.

The white lattice front buffet is destined for a Hampton's inspired apartment that we are working on, we are currently installing the new kitchen on this project along with shutters and the bathroom make over is underway ready for our clients Christmas break. I will show some images when finished.

I'm also loving the classically inspired display cabinet that arrived with this delivery.

Relaxing in the garden is always special, but this time of the year the tropical scents only enhance this experience even more. It just proves all the weeding, mulching and hard work is worth the effort in the end.

Metalicus @ Main Beach

Our little store in the village is a buzz with new deliveries this week.
Since relocating our interior design service to the Brickworks Centre our Main Beach store has been able to expand our fashion and sleep wear collections. We also have bags by Oscov as well as beautiful selection of jewelery and accessories.

Just arrived this week are our french inspired shopping baskets, perfect for the weekend markets!!!

Summer Linen

Over the past couple of days we have started to receive the latest summer collection by Bianca Lorenne. With a range of luxury quilts, bed spreads and comforters in seasonal colours of duck egg blue, crisp white and sophisticated graphite tones the combinations are endless. With limited stocks available this range is selling very fast.....

Wallpaper

Today has been a wallpaper day. This beautiful Ralph Lauren print has been installed at a client's home while the top floral Designers Guild is the latest additon to our Brickworks show room. Simply stunning and elegant in both locations!

The Drum

Today we received these amazing Chinese drums, the last delivery sold out in days... The smaller one is ideal as an unusual lamp table while the larger is perfect placed in the corner of a room as a more decorative piece. Each one is totally individual in black lacquer with tan leather top.

Week ahead

The week ahead seems like I have so much to do I am not sure how I am going to fit it all in. I am however really looking forward to attending the opening of "Focusing on photography" at the Nyst Gallery in association with Lorraine Pilgrim this Friday. There will be work by several artist including Mari Hirata AKA The shoe lady. I love her interpretation of everyday products in particular wedding shoes.
